The Vila Real Sports Centre is located on the border of Portugal and Spain close to the beach resort of Monte Gordo in the Algarve region of Portugal. With a transfer time of less than an hour from Faro it is an excellent location for a warm weather training camp.

Teams will stay in the resort of Morte Gordo, with a choice of 4* and 3* hotels and apartments. The Vila Real Sports Centre is just a short distance away.



Training will take place at the Vila Real St Antonio Sports Centre. On site there are a number of natural grass pitches, as swimming pool, gym (free and machine weights), physio room, tennis courts, athletics track, and more.

We can organise rugby training equipment including scrum machines, tackle pads and hit shields if required.

Faro airport is easily accessible from most UK airports using a number of no-frills, scheduled and chartered airlines. Sports Abroad will arrange all of your training and accommodation requirements along with your airport transfers and any optional excursions.

The Rio Maior Sports Centre is located is 75km north of Lisbon and 30km from the coast. In 2007 the centre was awarded a special recognition award by the International Olympic Committee.


Transfer time from Lisbon airport is just 50 minutes and the centre features excellent facilities including a natural and artificial grass pitches, a modern sports hall, a training centre, athletics stadium, Olympic swimming pool and gym. Accommodation is located on site within easy walking distance of all training facilities.


The sports centre is used by the Portuguese Olympic Team and was a training venue during for the 2004 European football Championships.






 Browns Club,

Vilamoura provides a perfect environment to hold a warm weather training camp for any sports team, offering a variety of entertainment. including a number of world class golf courses, a large Marina, numerous 5 Star and 4 Star Hotels, night clubs, shopping and more.

Nestled within the resort is the excellent Browns Club, a purpose built sports training centre ideal for visiting Rugby Teams.The Browns Club is located approximately 3 km from the sea and 20km from Faro airport.
The facilities at Browns are built for rugby and provide an excellent training environment for any visiting team.

All accommodation and training facilities are located within the grounds and close to the main full size grass training pitch. The Club has invested heavily in suitable rugby equipment including a scrum machine and heavily duty weights equipment.

Many professional teams including Gloucester and Saracens from Rugby Union and Bradford Bulls from Rugby League, have already been attracted by the facilities at the browns Club.

Both the gym and training pitch can be hired on an exclusive basis.

Teams will stay within the grounds of the club in bungalows or villas.  All units are tastefully furnished and have cooker, fridge, microwave, air conditioning, TV, and telephone.
