Located close to Venice and Trieste, Lignano is an excellent place to hold a football training camp. The City of Lignano was chosen to host the 2005 European Youth Olympics and houses a number of excellent sporting facilities.
Lignano Sabbiadoro is an internationally renowned tourist resort which is very popular with young people. The area offers a variety of entertainment along with many tourist attractions. |
Teams will stay at the purpose built Ge Tur Sports Village, which is ideally suited for training camps. Surrounded by a pine forest, the village offers many sporting facilities including Olympic sized swimming pools, football pitches and volleyball courts. |
Teams have access to an excellent FIFA and UEFA approved artificial grass training pitch, located within the village.
 | Also, a brand new grass field, which is currently being constructed adjacent to the village, will be available from 2008. The gym facilities in the resort boast all the latest machine and free weights. There are also sports halls which can be hired as well as a large beach area. The training pitches, sports hall and gym can be hired on an exclusive basis. |

| Teams
will have a choice of single, twin and triple rooms located within the
village. All accommodation is based on a full board basis so you don't
have to worry about meals.
There is also a choice of either eating in one of the large dining halls on site or alternatively choosing table service within your apartment block (for an extra charge). All rooms have modern furnishings and private bathrooms. |
Northern Italy is easily accessible from most UK airports using a number of no-frills, scheduled and chartered airlines. Sports Abroad will arrange all of your training and accommodation requirements along with your airport transfers to Lignano and any optional excursions.

Sports Abroad organise football training
camps using the facilities at the 4*superior Meliá Olbia Hotel which is located
in the north of the island. The hotel is near to the city of Olbia and close to
local beaches. Built overlooking the gulf of Olbia, the hotel offers excellent views. It is surrounded by 14 hectares of Mediterranean gardens, and offers a first class sport center for professional and amateur sports people. |
Located just 8 km from the airport, the Melia Olbia consists of a main building with 155 rooms, including 4 Junior Suites, a Presidential Suite and a Family Suite. There are also 64 rooms located in the hotel grounds, built in the style of traditional Italian villas. The hotel has everything you would expect from a 4* establishment and all rooms have a fully equipped bathroom, air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephones, internet access and a mini-bar. |

Teams will train on the hotel's new 3G synthetic football pitch. There are also two 8-a-side pitches located adjacent to the main training field.
The hotel also houses 10 clay tennis courts, an Olympic size outdoor swimming pool, an indoor pool, health spa, sports hall and a fully equipped gym. If required there are a number of rooms which can be hired for team meetings.
Sardinia is accessible from a number of UK airports using no-frills, scheduled and chartered airlines. Sports Abroad will arrange all of your training and accommodation requirements along with your airport transfers to the Melia Olbia and any optional excursions.
