The City of Debrecen can be found on the eastern border of Hungary, approximately 200km from Budapest. Debrecen is the second largest city in Hungary and in recent years has been the subject of major re-development.

With a complete renovation of the city centre, Debrecen has become one of the most picturesque places to visit.
The city plays host to a number of impressive sporting facilities including a purpose built sports park, an athletics stadium, and a world class swimming centre.

Sports Abroad arrange football training camps using the facilities at Debrecen Sport Park. Teams will have access to a choice of four training pitches and will use the gym facilities at the Corpus Fitness Centre.


 


We arrange accommodation at the Debrecen Sport Hotel which caters for athletes from a variety of sports. The hotel is located in an area known as the "Great Forest", a quiet, peaceful and beautiful district of Debrecen and is within easy reach of the city centre.

All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, bathrooms, TV's, telephones, mini-bars and Internet access points. There are two conference rooms available to hire for team meetings and a large restaurant providing traditional Hungarian and other international cuisine.

The complex also has an entertainment centre, a kayak-canoe training pool, tennis courts, and a table tennis hall.

Sports Abroad will arrange all accommodation, transfers and facility hire requirements. The airport transfer time from Budapest is approximately 2 - 3 hours. Alternatively teams could choose to fly to Budapest and then on to Debrecen via the Hungarian airline Malev.

Sports Abroad can organise football training camps in the Hungarian town of Tiszaujvaros - just a two hour transfer from Budapest.

Tiszaújváros is one of Hungary’s newest settlements. The town is situated at the junction of the Rivers Tisza and Sajó and lies halfway between two famous wine districts, Eger and Tokaj.



Awarded the National Sports City of Hungary in 1995 the town is ideal for holding sports training camps. There is a brand new high quality sport centre with an athletics and football stadium, a weight-lifting hall, indoor stadium, gym, outdoor Olympic sized swimming pool and three football fields.


Teams will stay at the Cívis Hotel Phõnix which can be found in the town centre . The hotel has a number of room types to choose from including comfort, classic and executive rooms.

The restaurant offers a range of Hungarian and international cuisine to suit all tastes. Vegetarian dishes are also available
