SPORTS ABROAD FOOTBALL TRAINING CAMPS - FUERTEVENTURA

With very little rainfall the island of Fuerteventura, one of the largest of the Canary Islands, attracts many tourists trying to escape the bleak European winter.

Sports Abroad will soon be offering football training camps at the Playitas Grand Resort located in the picturesque fishing village of Las Playitas. Las Playitas is just 4km from Gran Tarajal on the south-western coast of the island. The village is half-way between the airport at Puerto del Rosario and Jandía in the south. Transfers from the airport take approximately 40 minutes 

A brand new natural grass is currently being developed on-site and could be ready for pre season camps in 2009 (July/August). As soon as we receive further details we will post them on this page.


Teams will stay on-site at the Hotel Cala Sol.  Sandwiched between the beach and resort golf course, the Hotel Cala Del Sol is the perfect place to relax in modern, tastefully furnished surroundings.

There are a number of room types to choose from. All rooms have a bathroom, hair-dryer, towels, air-conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, a safety deposit box, minibar, internet access and a balcony.

The hotel also has its own heated swimming pool, bar area and sunbathing terrace.
